A to Z Blogging Challenge 2025: A is for Fluevog Adanac

It's April 1, the first day of "Blogging from A to Z" with my annual (going on eight years) challenge of drawing Fluevog Shoes and creating repeating patterns with them. Eventually, these designs wind up on Redbubble and Spoonflower.


Today's footwear is the Fluevog Adanac

Putting this one into repeat was a bear. I wanted to use the floral print as the background and all I had to work with was this boot-shaped floral thing (because I forgot how to mask a layer in Procreate):

The A to Z Challenge is held every April. The challenge is to blog through the alphabet every Monday through Saturday. The “A” theme is blogged on April 1st, “B” April 2nd, etc.

Hand Drawn Floral Fail

Here's a Spoonflower challenge that I didn't rise to. A hand drawn floral.

What's wrong with it, you ask?

When I uploaded it (five minutes before the deadline), it looked like this:

Can you see where the repeat is bad?

ARGH!

I went back and fixed it and decided to leave off the line work. 

It didn't need to look "hand drawn" any more, I had missed the window of opportunity.
