I created the Kerry art work in 2023

I was especially proud of those gradiant rings, that mimicked the gradiants on the heels of the sandal.

But how to highlight that with my stitching?
I pondered this quandary for days and days...

To my delight, I found the perfect gradient floss at Michael's (and I wasn't even looking for it!)

 

I used Laced Double Running Stitch and let the colors fall where they may.
The inner circle is all gradient thread, the outer circle is gradient laced through a very dark olive brown.
