I created the Jan Janson artwork in 2022

I wanted to use a metallic thread for this embroidery.
After scrutinizing blue metallics online

I decided to go see them at Mood Fabrics.
They were all too greenish!

My solution was to make a custom blend of cotton floss and silver metallic:

It worked perfectly!
And the Gutermann metallic is easy to work with!

which I then worked up into repeat for this year's Blogging from A-Z challenge

This design called out for metallic thread, I complied.

Karen gave me this gold Kreinik Metallics Blending Filament when she was purging her craft stash.
It wasn't TOO terrible to work with - I've experienced worse.
I used it for needle weaving in the exterior diamond shapes
and little accent stitches within the same shapes on the shoe.
