Fluevog Embroideries Will Travel to Pacifica

I could not contain my excitement when I got my acceptance email from the Sanchez Art Center:

I finally picked up the panels and now I am officially starting.
(I was supposed to start on 6/23 but didn't get the panels until 6/25)

bag of 50 panels in a motel room in Freemont
I attempted starting the mounting process with a few already stitched pieces that I packed for the trip that Severo and I took last week.

The Fluevog Givens embroidery was the first.

Doesn't it look cool paired with the motel artwork of Lombard Street
(the famous crooked street in San Francisco)?

Alas, blue tape and fabric are not friends.

Going to try gaff tape next.

Preview the collection here.
Some are revisions on pieces that I stitched in 2024. (link)

Those pieces behind me in the Instagram Reel?
I "cheated" and started the revisions in February and new pieces back in March!

As Seen In My Dreams

I don't usually create artwork in my dreams. When I do, I pay attention.

An interesting side note:
I've been mending my Crazy Quilt, and I've been in a constant battle with Mr Lou because he'll plant himself on top of my working area. He stayed on the couch the entire time I worked on this, and my work surface was the table with the quilt. Very curious.

For thread, I used weft threads pulled from the denim square.
